Zone bleue: real launch on Wednesday

Motorists will have to use the blue disk.

Very few motorists have so far used the famous blue disk, after will they parked in Marigot city center. Probably out of indifference or sloth - the new rules adopted by the Collectivité have not been taken into account.

The blue zone was launched on last 1 March to allow for a better rotation of the 410 parking spots. Parking time is now limited at 1:30, so it should now be easier to find parking spaces. But for three months now, the system has had very little success. Likewise, the free shuttle service set up by the Collectivité between Galisbay car park and the market roundabout (on Marigot waterfront) was not extensively used.

However, motorists will have to get used to using the disk from tomorrow Wednesday, 1st June, if they do not want to be fined.

Indeed, the “training” period - as Guillaume Arnell called it - now comes to an end. The territorial police have already informed and warned users that they will impose 135 euros fines if there are breaches of the rules.
