The North Saint-Martin Rotary Club is once again calling for donations

The service club has been taking action for Haiti since the passage of hurricane Matthew.

"After the passage of hurricane Matthew on the south-western part of Haiti, the North Saint-Martin Rotary Club thanks all those who have already responded to its call for donations on October 4, 2016, in order to provide Shelterbox emergency shelters, especially the SEMSAMAR which immediately sent a check for 9,000 € which corresponds to the supply of 10 Shelterbox emergency shelters", indicated the service club in a press release.

Shelterbox, an independent relief organization, is Rotary’s partner in the event of natural disasters.

Along with the members of Haitian Rotary clubs, governmental authorities and other emergency organizations, a Shelterbox team of six people has been on the scene for two weeks and has been focusing its efforts to address the cholera epidemic, which has started to strike in the southern part of the country and provide emergency shelter. A shipment arrived in Les Cayes on Wednesday, October 12, which will be used by healthcare professionals for the different cholera screening and treatment centers. Given the magnitude of the disaster (more than 150,000 homeless people and the cholera epidemic), the Rotary-club has repeated its call for donations, even for small amounts, in order to finance a maximum number of shelter boxes.

You can make an online donation on the Paypal account of the North St-Martin Rotary Club.
