The Christmas House at Cripple Gate launches an Online Fundraiser

For more than 45 years, the Christmas House has been bringing the magic of Christmas to Cripple Gate. To prepare for the 2026 event, its organizers are launching an online fundraiser on GoFundMe, with a goal of €10,000.
Every year, as the holidays approach, the house on Cripple Gate lights up and welcomes visitors of all ages from across the island. Decorations, lights, and special displays make it one of Saint Martin’s most anticipated Christmas events. This family tradition has endured for over 45 years thanks to the passion and volunteer work of those who keep it alive.
To offer the public an even more beautiful 2026 edition, the team needs support. The funds raised will be used to replace the decorations and lights, purchase materials, create a new installation, and cover the costs of opening the house and welcoming visitors. Preparations have already begun, which is why the fundraiser is launching now.
The fundraiser is organized by the Good Friends association and will run through December 15. Anyone can contribute, regardless of the amount, by clicking here.
The theme for the 2026 edition will be unveiled in the coming weeks. The event is scheduled to open to the public on December 6, 2026.
“For more than 45 years, this house has belonged, in a way, to all of Saint Martin. Every Christmas, we see children filled with wonder and parents who used to come here themselves when they were little. With this support, we want to continue writing this beautiful Christmas story together with everyone,” explains Monique Joe, President of the Good Friends association.
