The hospital owes more than €420,000 to a medical testing laboratory
Under a public contract awarded in November 2024, Inovie Biopole Antilles has been performing clinical laboratory tests for the Louis-Constant Fleming Hospital. The company has provided several services, but payment for many of them has not been made.
After determining that outstanding payments totaled 545,886 euros, the company issued a formal notice in early October 2025 demanding that the hospital pay 532,683 euros within 15 days, plus 9,929 euros in interest and collection fees. Two and a half months later, a statement of claim was sent, and only a few invoices had been paid.
In April of this year, the company asked the judge presiding over summary proceedings at the Saint-Martin Administrative Court to order the hospital to pay the remaining outstanding invoices. This concerns 29 invoices issued in February and October 2025 for a total amount of 425,193 euros. The hospital did not file a statement of defense but does not dispute the amounts owed.
On October 2, the hospital was ordered to pay the laboratory the sum of 425,193 euros, plus 28,971 euros in late payment interest, as well as 1,960 euros in flat-rate collection fees, for a total of 456,124 euros.
The hospital must also pay 2,500 euros in legal costs.
