Terrorist Attacks in Belgium: Greater Vigilance in Saint-Barthélemy and Saint-Martin

As a consequence of the attacks in Brussels on this March 22, the French Government has decided to strengthen security throughout the territory of the Republic. In Saint-Martin and Saint-Barthélemy, the Vigipirate plan is implemented with reinforced security measures.

The Prefect asked the gendarmerie and police forces to increase the safety arrangements, in particular in ports and airports. Controls (of both people and goods) at points of entry and exit of the territory have thus been strengthened.
