Professional organizations unite their forces against strike notices

We, the Collectivité of Saint-Martin, the CCISM and the Tourism Office, professional organizations and associations of Saint-Martin (FIPCOM - FERCOM - AHSM - BTP – SMUTA (taxis) – AEC Marigot businesses - Indian businesses Association – APACH association Howell Center, unite their forces against strike notices issued by certain unions and collectives.

While the territory is gradually recovering from the hurricane Irma, the economic and tourist recovery requires social stability and calls for the unity of all the living forces of the territory.

The efforts undertaken over the last 18 months by all of the local actors to revive Saint-Martin cannot be jeopardized by a strike that is by no means a reflection of the Saint Martiner’s ambition and resilience.

Conscious that reconstruction is a pivotal and difficult step for all, we oppose strongly to any attempts that would stir up social, community and political tensions.

Saint-Martin must get up as quickly as possible in a peaceful and dignified manner.

Let's stay united for Saint-Martin and continue to move forward together to rebuild our island.
