Simply Market in Sandy Ground is closed

THE STORE WAS NOT TAKEN OVER BY SUPER U UNLIKE THE ONE IN HOPE ESTATE, WHICH IS SCHEDULED TO UNDERGO CONSTRUCTION WORK IN EARLY 2017.

Simply Market in Sandy Ground has been closed for several days. This closing has taken place almost four months after the Hope Estate store shut down.

For the record, the employees were informed at the end of May of the implementation of a part-time employment measure pending the sale of the business to Jean-Pierre Deguille and Philippe Loo, already partners in the Super U at Howell Center. However, they did not buy the Sandy Ground store.

As for the Hyper U project in Hope Estate, a building permit was filed one month after the transaction. It is under consideration before the services of the Collectivité and should be issued by the end of this year. This suggests that construction work will begin in the store at the beginning of 2017.
